View Thread : SARDINES or BEEF JERKY

Sardines or beef jerky?? It is written that Plato spent the twilight years of his life endlessly debating this very topic. And now his curse is YOURS! DEBATE IT!
:nodding:
Sardines are oh-so-fishily delicious, and packed with Omega 3 fatty acids! They taste great in any variety of sauces!
Beef jerky is oh-so-smokily yumzy, and packed with Protein! It's always handy for a nutritious, beefy snack!
LET THE FIGHT COMMENCE!!!
Sacred Jellybean
Beef jerky. But I could probably develop a taste for sardines as well, if I got really enthusiastic about sea food.

Jerky

Shoes. No, WAIT! Bacon!
...
Whoops, wrong nonsensical debate.
Uh, I'd have to say jerky too.
A Black Falcon
Hmm, a choice between two unpalatable foods... uh, can I say neither?
Great Rumbler
No you can't.
Darunia
I ate both in mass quantities just the other day while on break at work.
A Black Falcon
No you can't.
Well too bad, I did. :)
Great Rumbler
You are dumb.
EdenMaster
I ate both in mass quantities just the other day while on break at work.
I can claim jerky binges...but I'm going to have to check with Guinness. You may be the first person ever to eat "mass quantities" of sardines. Yuck.
Captain_Rush

EdenMaster
What about sardine jerky? Huh? Never thought of THAT, did you!
*patent pending*
Darunia
Sardines are awesome, and a long-time staple of the Goron Empire. What's that you say? Don't Gorons just eat rocks? That's ridiculous and so are you. Grow up.
Great Rumbler
Gorons DO only eat rocks. That's what Link said. He said a few other things too, but they were kind of insulting so I won't elaborate.
EdenMaster
The only things I've ever heard Link say are HEEYAAAA and YAAAAAAGH!
Weltall
He actually does speak clear English in one game, and only in one instance.
Fifty points to the person who can name the game, and the words he speaks.
EdenMaster
Probably the CD-i game and as for the words, they might as well be "donkey crap" because approximately three people ever played it :D
Great Rumbler
He said more than one word in those games, so I don't think that's what Ryan is talking about.
Darunia
Gorons love ice cream.
EdenMaster
What do you top it with? Gravel?
Do Gorons use sand for seasoning?
A Black Falcon
Rocky Road flavor?
EdenMaster
How do Goron's prefer their drinks?
On the rocks.
:chuckle:
He Who Annoys All
Buffalo jerky. Period.
EdenMaster
You already had a period. And a period after saying the word period. Your fully typed period was made redundant by the previous period, and further complicated by the third period...period.
Darunia
Gorons love periods...
...My favorite is the Baroque!
*Drum/cymbal joke cue*
EdenMaster
You just like periods because they look like little pebbles at the end of sentences.
Hey, considering your Coconut friend isn't really here anymore, perhaps it's time you changed your avatar?
Dark Jaguar
In anwer to Ryan (wow, did I actually call him Ryan instead of Weltall? I think I did!):
Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, when you find that Mirror, Link states "I FOUND A MIRROR UNDER THE TABLE." only very slowly with typewriter sounds.
But in general the idea is that Link isn't mute, it's just you have to use the power of imagination to determine what he says. Crono and Serge (from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross respectively) are the same way. Actually, it's also the same case for Vane in Legend of Legaia. In both CC and LL this whole "avatar character" thing is dynamic, that is, when the main character changes a couple times, whoever you control suddenly goes mute and the person you aren't controlling any more is suddenly able to speak. In CC though it's a bit different as you don't really change characters, just bodies.
Okay Weltall (okay you got your fix of me using your first name? Hope so, because it's back to normal now!), here's a challenge for you, or anyone else who has played Chrono Trigger.
There is one point where Crono speaks clear unbroken English (or Japanese if you prefer...). Where in the game is this, and what does he say?
